Dogfish Head My Antonia

This has to be one of my favorite beers by Dogfish Head and I am very sad it comes but once a year. When I was down in Milton for the brewery tour, an abundance of bottles were laying about for purchase and I just couldn't help myself. Besides that, I  had no idea if I was going to see it in NJ this year. My Antonia is a collaborative brew between Dogfish Head and Birra Del Borgo which is a well known brewery in Italy - perhaps you've heard of them. Originally brewed in 2008 with a small amount coming to the States, My Antonia is now brewed at Dogfish Head a few times a year for US Markets. Word on the street is there is a batch coming from Italy this year but it will available in limited quantities. Let's get onto some tasting notes, shall we?

A: Pours light hazy straw color, minimal head

S: Citrus hops is all I smell a little lemon and some orange

T: Very hoppy, mostly citrus flavors here

M: Light, crisp, refreshing with good carbonation

D: Very drinkable, wish it was lighter on the ABV to make it more of a session beer

Like I stated above: it's one of Dogfish Head's finest brews and if you should come across it, snag a bottle or two. I don't know how well they age but I am sure this one is better fresh. Cheers!
