As the label says, the 90 Minute is too much at times and the 60 Minute just doesn't cut it; the perfect cure lies some where in the middle of the two. What was once a brewpub-only offering (originally named "Johnny Cask"), 75 Minute IPA has recently hit shelves to give Dogfish Head drinkers something new to anticipate.

Keeping with our Vermont content for the week, it wouldn't be right to not highlight one of the most talked about IPA's of 2012 thus far - Heady Topper from The Alchemist in Waterbury, Vermont.

New Belgium Fat Tire

While I was westward a few weeks ago, I attended a nice backyard BBQ to celebrate some birthdays. As usual, I was tasked with bringing some beer for the party. A six pack of refreshing Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was an obvious purchase, but I was looking for something else to bring that was easy drinking. Now I have only ever had Fat Tire on draft once, and I usually pass up the bottles in the store for my favorite New Belgium brew - Ranger IPA. Not on this trip however. As I perused the the small cold box of the shoddy gas station I noticed a twelve pack of Fat Tire cans.

Sierra Nevada Cans Have Landed

More breweries around the country are adopting the way of the can for a number of reasons. I could sit here and tell you how cans keep beer fresh and cut shipping costs, but most importantly: cans go places bottles can't. Whether you are at the beach, pool, or golf course, cans are the perfect companion.

Carton Red Rye Returning

It seems as if we keep seeing rye making its way into many brews. I'm sure everyone is coming off their Ruthless Rye kicks wondering where the next fix will come from. Look no further - Carton Brewing has the scratch for the itch with their latest small batch brew, Red Rye Returning. I recently went through a three day indulgence with this beer, having had a pour all the way north at Mohawk House and then finished with a glass right around the corner from the source in Sandy Hook.

Video – The New Wave Of So Called Beer Geeks

We had put it up on our tumblr the other day but it deserves a place here too. We are all beer geeks to some extent but let's be honest some people take it to the extreme. Enjoy a good laugh from this video by John Smith, it is quickly making its rounds on the internet and pretty much hits the nail on the head.
