Did you ever wonder what some breweries have made when they first started out? While some breweries may stray from their roots others embrace them, dusting off that old recipe book to brew a beer to let people where you came from.Lagunitas does just that with their limited release, Imperial Red. What was once the first beer they ever brewed is available again but only once a year. Imperial Red is a very rich ale, the pungent hop profile and red malts give the beer a very spicy and roasty flavor that keeps you coming back sip after sip. I am happy to see Lagunitas stick to their roots on this one, the beer is phenomenal and I will certainly be lining my fridge with it when ever it’s around.
