This weekend - April 30th-May 1st 2011; we will be heading to Hunter Mountain to attend TAP New York Craft Beer and Fine Food Festival. Originally started, 14 years ago; hosted in Hyde Park by the Culinary Institute of America and known at the time as  the Hudson Valley Beer and Food Festival - TAP has become the "longest running craft beer and food event in New York State. This event brings together brewers, chefs, beer drinkers, and foodies alike from all over the Empire State and surrounding region.
With 41 breweries confirmed to be on location, each competing for "Best Beer" and "Best Brewery" within the state, this is expected to be the largest food/beer festival yet. While there are many events continuously happening throughout NY and the rest of the Tri-State area focused on beer,  TAP takes into consideration one of beers best companions - fine food. There will be plenty of food, food/beer pairings, as well as cooking demonstrations, all in the theme of comfort food. Be sure to get some tickets while you still can and come out for some quality food and brews. If you can't make it out, be sure to check back next week to check out some pictures, read our thoughts, and see what you missed out on!
