Home Brew Shop – Mistucky Home Brew

It seems we have a home brewing boom on our hands in the tri-state area. Every week I feel like I am coming across a new home brewer or an ambitious entrepreneur trying to get home brewing supplies to the masses. Not to long ago getting home brew supplies wasn't always simple in our area. It was either an annoying drive to get your ingredients at a brick and mortar store that may or may not have what you're looking for, or plan brew days in advance and wait for your online orders to arrive. That being said, I am very pleased to see more & more of these shops opening locally so avid home brewers / wine makers can get the supplies they need to get brewing - conveniently. One of these recently opened shops is Mistucky Creek, located in Warwick New York.Warwick, an area known for its farms & wineries, is becoming quite the beer town with craft beer being found at almost every bar in town. With a demand for quality brews in the area, home brewers or future home brewers are usually not to far behind.

Mistucky Creek has supplies for all levels of brewing and wine making. If you are a beginner there is plenty of extract kits to choose from. True Brew, Brewers Best and The Brew House are just a few of the brands they carry.

If you are an experienced home brewer,  a purist, or just decided to skip extract brewing all together you will find a wide variety of malts to choose from. You can buy one pound bags or bulk grain; what ever you need to get brewing. If thats not enough, they also hold classes and brew days at the store so people can learn the tricks of the trade.

You can't have a beer without hops and yeast right? Mistucky Creek has a wide range of hops for all your flavoring and bittering needs with a descriptive chart describing the hop flavor and possible substitutions as well as many different yeast strains available to today's home brewers.

Whether you are looking for Better Bottles, glass carboys, Ale Pails, or a replacement thermometer that you broke for last minute.  Mistucky Creek has all of your equipment needs covered.

Before we left shop that day, owner, Lloyd Vanduzer hooked us up with a couple of bottles of his Shantytown Stout. We are still waiting to crack them as he mentioned they are still a little young. Stay tuned for our tasting!
